How Effacia erases your data, and keeps it from coming back
No magic: a precise legal mechanism, applied systematically. Here is exactly what happens when you activate your protection.
1. The scan: know where you stand
Your email is checked against known data breaches, broker databases and public directories. The scan takes about ten seconds; your address is never stored in plain text, never resold, never used for anything else. The result shows you what's circulating: sources, dates, exposed data types.
2. The legal filing: Article 17 works for you
GDPR Article 17, the “right to erasure”, requires any company to delete your personal data on request, with a legal obligation to respond within 30 days. A company that refuses faces fines of up to €20M or 4% of global revenue. Within 24h of activation, we draft and file these requests with 300+ brokers, each adapted to the recipient's procedure, then chase them until confirmation.
3. The ~90-day problem: why a subscription
Brokers don't collect once: they re-harvest continuously. In practice, a deleted profile reappears within ~90 days through new collections. A one-off deletion is therefore cosmetic. Effacia re-files every request automatically, every cycle, for as long as you're protected, the only approach that holds over time.
4. What you receive
A report for every confirmed deletion, an alert for every new exposure of your address, and a monthly summary: what was deleted, where, and what's in progress. You see the work, not just the promise.
